The artist who I like a lot is J.R. Schmidt, a motion designer and 3-D artist in New York City. He is well-known in producing low poly, pixel artworks and data visualizations.
He gets a lot of inspiration from maps and video games, you can see most of his artworks are buildings and maps. He creates colorful and very detail artwork that inspired by video game nostalgia. He is attentive, you can see that through his artworks. He depicts buildings and maps on a block by block basic.
There are many great works but I choose Schmidt because his artworks are first attract me. He applies colors wisely on his artworks. Also, he sticks the shapes together harmoniously and makes people feel comfort when looking at his artworks. His artworks are simple and easy to recognize.
Schmidt creates many amazing artworks. In his artworks, I like Inspiredology poster the most which are created for Inspiredology.com. He was approached by the inspiredology’s team to create this poster for their Facebook contest.
This is a geometric art poster. In this poster, you can see a sphere which looks like the Earth. Also, there are many triangles on the surface of the sphere, and those triangles represent different countries. He made out all the detail of the countries’ characteristics on the triangles space. He applies the colors wisely and the textures create a 3-dimensional feel. He makes the whole poster looks interesting.
